Too Lovely
By Rhincel John Ortega De Veas
You walked along the
dune
Hair black as ebony
flowing like a tune
Mesmerized by your
glance
My bearings morphed
into trance
Impinged by your
splendor
I was in enslaved
demeanor
Astonished with
feminine essence
Abashed with
enchanting presence
Sooner you made me
vicious
My spirit suddenly
became ambitious
Egoism claimed that
you’re mine
Sanity forced me to
be in line
Yet like a flower, I
cannot own you
Doomed as my
thoughts, I was in blue
For a bloom selfishly
plucked will die
The pruner can only heave
a deep sigh
